Who we are

Iroquois Sail and Power Squadron is a unit within District 6 of the United States Power Squadrons, America’s Boating Club, which is the nation’s premiere boating education, boater safety and fraternal boating club.  Members have access to on- and off-the-water activities, cruises and rendezvous, learning opportunities, boating mentors and hands-on boating courses.

Come for the Boating Education

USPS and ISPS offers to members and non members unsurpassed and affordable safe boating

education.  Most of us joined ISPS to learn more skills after taking the introductory boating safety class. With USPS and ISPS education programs, we have learning opportunities in Power and Sail Boat Handling, Navigation (from Inland to Coastal and Offshore), boat system maintenance (Engine Maintenance, Marine Electrical Systems), Cruise Planning (Weather, Cruise Planning), and many others. The offerings span from a deep dive into a subject to two hour seminars. And from instructor lead to online classes and webinars

…Stay for the Friends

We are building friendships through a variety of monthly events hosted by ISPS throughout the year like parties, picnics, historic tours, general meetings at various local restaurants followed by a short presentation.

…And, give back to the Community

We are strengthening the communities we live in through public service and volunteer opportunities in education, free to the public vessel safety checks, and Canal Clean Sweep
